Why did you create AC.lib-Exif?

Because I needed a Java library that can write Exif information, not just read it.

Will AC.lib-Exif support IPTC in the future?

Currently there are no plans to support IPTC (my contracting job keeps me pretty busy).

Will AC.lib-Exif be backported to Java 1.4 (1.3)?

Short answer: No.
